The Water and Sanitation Programme (WSP) of the World Bank collaborated with OneWorld Foundation India to pilot a proof of concept to strengthen the monitoring framework of the Total Sanitation Campaign by using GPS-assisted mobile-based technologies to gather information on sanitation behaviour of rural population, and measuring their access to and use of toilets in Rajgir, Bihar, and Kandaghat, Himachal Pradesh.
